Conversion or extension? Whether a building application is required, and which submission documents it needs, depends on the individual case. We clarify this up front, bring the structural questions (load-bearing walls, openings, connection to the existing building) into the design from the start and put together the documents for the building application. F.1Who may sign building documents?
In Baden-Württemberg, building documents for buildings requiring a permit or notification may only be prepared and signed by designers entitled to submit building applications — in particular registered architects (entitlement under § 63 (2) no. 1 LBO Baden-Württemberg). Maryam Rashidi is an architect, member of the Chamber of Architects Baden-Württemberg and entitled to submit building applications; she prepares and signs the building documents for your application.
F.2Does FR PLANWERK also handle building applications?
Yes. Maryam Rashidi is a registered architect entitled to submit building applications. FR PLANWERK handles design and permit planning, prepares the required building documents and accompanies the submission of the building application. The decision on the building permit is made by the competent building authority.
F.3Which documents are part of a building application?
Typically a site plan, construction drawings (floor plans, sections, elevations), a building description and calculations — which documents are required in detail is governed by the procedural regulation of the Baden-Württemberg state building code (LBOVVO) and depends on the procedure. Technical verifications such as the stability verification come from the structural design — at FR PLANWERK from the same team.
